flamenco. flamenco. rioja, tapas, then more flamenco. estoy cansada pero el flamenco fue espectacular.
we went first to see dance, piano and guitar set to "Iberia," by Isaac Albeniz. the piece would've been something i'd have liked in my piano-playing days: fast, fiery, furious. back then, tarantellas were my forte, while di played the moody classical and romantic pieces.
and then we went for tapas y vino at cuba libre, where vijay knows the chef (but who unfortunately wasn't working that night). and then we rushed, tipsy with wine, back to sadler's wells to see the stunning eva yerbabuena's flamenco ballet company.
one of the best things about london is how international it is: we were spanish, german, greek, indian-kenyan-british, a texan living in nairobi, and me, la americana. muy interesante!
