the sweatshop, london branch

maria, michael, shannon, ghostly kim, and krys

i must admit that i always secretly mocked yoga, particularly after my first session - at casa de los suenos on isla de mujeres - involved letting parts of my body "sing their song." i couldn't keep a straight face, and i never tried it again.

'til i moved to london. i've only recently learned i don't need to move at 50 mph to enjoy exercise. sophie took me to one session - i couldn't walk properly for 3 days - and now kim has opened the islington branch of The Sweatshop in my flat. (p.s., here's a link a look at the Chinatown, NYC, branch.)

she's a taskmaster! relentless, with a whip. plus, i'm not 100 percent sure she's human - not only is she as flexible as one of those chinese acrobats but she's also ghostly (see photo).
