i'm desperate to learn to drive a stick shift - er, manual transmission - but when i floated the idea of renting a manual, di begged me not to. probably a good point: it was hard enough getting used to driving on the right side of the car on the left side of the road.

i did nearly mow down some people in the zebra crossings.
