along the thames

one good thing about having visitors is getting the chance to do touristy things - such as the london eye and the thames river cruise. (i'm a terrible tourist - in all the years i lived in new york, i never went to the empire state building or the statue of liberty...)

todd and i braved the chill and stood on the top deck during the river cruise. when i went downstairs, the rest had given up on it. di was conked out still clutching a map of the thames.

and it's true what they say about the eye - it's excruciatingly slow. can someone please create a rollercoaster version? di snuck a cornetto on board, but the ticket taker let her take it on in case she gets the sudden fetal emergency munchies.
