cass beer: explosively quenching
shigeru ban - an innovator in the use of paper in architecture - designed the papertainer museum in seoul, a building made of paper that can be built, disassembled, transported and then rebuilt elsewhere.
the main exhibit focuses on design and advertisting - like this comical, 3-D ad for Cass beers - and the special exhibit was an art show with women in korean history as a unifying theme. lots of portraits of the super-filial shim chung and other women brave enough to buck the confucianism and conservatism of korean society. (by the way, little known fact: i once played the lead role in a production of shim chung - in korean! still not sure how.) click here to see a few pix from the papertainer.
