normally, i try to spend as little time in airports as possible. but passing through copenhagen airport a few years ago on my way back from russia, i was loathe to leave - the airport gift shop was droolingly stocked with my favorite danish and nordic design items and my seafood lunch was fresh and delicious. i just about missed my connecting flight to london, so enamored of the airport was i.
so i vowed to go back properly - and not just to the airport.
this meal, at the waterside soeren k in slotsholmen inside the sleek, new extension of the royal library (nicknamed the black diamond), was the first of many featuring herring, fresh and artfully prepared.

I like how the 2 people in the 1st shot appear to be rushing out of the frame to look at something we can't see. I also like the cropping on the square images.
