"There's no water, so we're drinking beer."

just my luck: it's the rainiest summer on record in england, a country that definitely sees more than its fair share of rain.

a quote (stolen from a story from a venerable news agency that shall remained unnamed) from prince charles, visiting villagers in tewksbury, where they have no fresh water: "One of the things I have found about the British is when faced with disaster, it brings out the best in us."

turns out most of them are hanging out at the pub. "There's no water, so we're drinking beer."

classic.
