jb tucks into a portuguese fishermen's stew
the weather was not kind to us in portugal - it was chilly on the shore and stormy the last few days. but we sought consolation in the amazing seafood on the coast:
- bacalhau at leon at casa de leao in the castelo sao jorge in lisbon
- fresh figs and stuffed squid at a severa, accompanied by live fado, in the bairro alto
- manila clams roasted in garlic and parsley, and seabass baked in salt at o poco
- a luscious fisherman's stew with tasty chunks of monkfish in parreirinha in ericeira
- and the most amazing arroz de mariscos studded with lobster, fish, shrimp, mussels and clams at o barco.
