we set out on a perfectly sunny day to see berlin by bicycle, past the gugelhof where schroeder took clinton to dinner and up to the wasserturm, an old water tower transformed into flats overlooking a field of grass and flowers.
out of curiosity, i typed in "wasserturm" into flickr and found a whole batch of photos of watertowers worldwide. a strange though interesting obsession, kind of like airplane spotting.
