fertilizing the ruins

we hit the road from tulum in our trusty toyota, bound for the ruins of the pre-columbian, mayan town of coba. we wandered along tree-lined paths in this ancient city dating back to the 1st century.

the dane, still sick with montezuma's revenge, took revenge on montezuma and left a very special offering to the mayan gods by "fertilizing" the ruins. i hope the cobans like tequila.

the largest pyramid, Nohoch Mul, is 42 meters high. the dane could only make it up two steps, but plenty of american tourists were happy to scramble up past him. showoffs.
