the day after the wedding, we took a boat ride through the sian ka'an biosphere reserve. the rains - which drummed down during our ride to the biosphere - stopped long enough for us to glide through lagoons and mangroves in peace. 'til hanson tried to take a pee in the woods and was face-to-face with a spider web the size of a small manhattan skyscraper, that is.
sian ka'an apparently means "where the sky is born" in mayan.
