oysters & hogwash

sometimes it takes being a tourist to see more of the city you once lived in. i had never been up to point reyes the whole time i lived in san francisco but we caravaned up with a baby, two toddlers, six ex-midwesterners, two bottles of wine (but no wine opener), veggies & a vinyl-bongtoo full of meyers lemons picked off the tree and a tupperware of hog wash.

trina gave us an expert tutorial (see video) on how to shuck oysters and then we showed her how quickly we could eat them before she was even able to get the smelly, wet shucking glove off. see more from the oysterhunt here.
